Present Simple Tense

FORM: Subject + verb in inf.
We add -S or -ES after the verb when the subject is in 3rd person singular.

USE: We use the Present Simple Tense for actions happening more often: every day, every morning, all the week etc.

SPELLING: I like + -s → he likes                              I watch + -es → he watches
I go + -es → he goes                                                 I study + -ies → he studies
BUT   I say + -s  →  he says




Affirmative  →   I/You/We/They  like martial arts.


                          He/She/It likes martial arts.
Negative      →   I/You/We/They don't like martial arts.
                          He/She/It doesn't like martial arts.
Question     →   Do I/You/We/They like martial arts?
                         Does he/she/it like martial arts?
